The scores are in folks and it seems again that overnight ratings again fail to truly capture the diverse ways in which you, yes you, view Doctor Who.
SFX have reported that The Curse of the Black Spot has picked up a further 1.64 million viewers who recorded the show and watched it within the first week- bring the total so far to 7.85 million.
That gave the show a mighty impressive 35.5% share, which places it just outside of the top ten for that week.
It doesn’t end there though- there’s yet more of you fine folk to stand up and be counted like the extra 1 million who watched via the instant hit of BBC goodness called the iPlayer.
So let’s reiterate for the cheap seats: overnight ratings are not the full picture. There are a plethora of ways to view your favourite programme. Lets not get fixated and just keep watching fantastic episode after fantastic episode; no matter what the medium.
